About Big in Belgium

Big in Belgium logo“Big in Belgium” is an expression that was used in Singles, a movie about six Seattle based grungers who are trying to conquer the world. Matt Dillon, member of the band Citizen Dick, thinks his band is “Big in Belgium“, meaning it is not-too-successful…

You might know Belgium as the country that hosts the European Commission.

You might even know that the saxophone and fries were invented in Belgium, or that we produce probably the best chocolate in the world. Tintin comes from Belgium, and so does Georges Simenon.

You might have had the chance to taste one of our great beers (if you get the chance, try a Duvel, a Bolleke Koninck or a Chimay).

But what you probably don’t know is that Belgium has a vivid rock scene and great music is made in Belgium.

A list of most famous Belgian singers and groups ever might include Soeur Sourire (The Singing Nun), Jacques Brel and Technotronic (Pump up the Jam). But that’s not the music we want to discuss and promote at Big in Belgium.

Think Rock, Belgian Rock…

Sit back and enjoy!
